Minister for Regulatory Reform

The Minister for Regulatory Reform is the Hon Peter Primrose MLC.

After Peter graduated as a social worker from the University of Sydney, he worked in a number of agencies including Red Cross, the Department of Health, and the Department of Youth and Community Services. He served on Campbelltown City Council for over a decade, including a term as Mayor; and for five years as Chair of the Macarthur Health Services Board. Peter was an Adviser to the former Federal Minister for Consumer Affairs, Jeanette McHugh.

Peter was elected as Member for Camden in 1988; and subsequently entered the NSW Legislative Council in 1996. He served as Government Whip, and was elected as President in 2007. Peter has been a member of many parliamentary committees, and has chaired both the Privileges Committee and the Legislation Review Committee. Peter is now the Minister for Regulatory Reform and Minister for Mineral Resources. He is married, with one son.
